The SSACAB team consisting of the programme manager, project administrator/communications personnel, and community engagement manager, attended a Science for Africa - DELTAS AFRICA II Communications and Research Management workshop in Harare, Zimbabwe (10-13 March 2025). The team joined the other 13 DELTAS initiatives representatives to discuss issues around how to articulate the sharing of science messages, setting up research management systems, equitable research partnerships, research security, and ways of embedding policy influencing amongst the DELTAS II consortiums. It was a great opportunity for the attendees to emphasise the amount of work that has been done within their consortiums, an opportunity to learn from other consortiums, and map action plans to address any gaps identified in the reporting mechanisms.
