Who we are

The Sub-Saharan Africa Advanced Consortium for Biostatistics (SSACAB) aims to enhance the use of data to inform public health policy and practice across Sub-Saharan Africa. SSACAB II serves as a collaborative platform connecting African and Northern academic institutions to strengthen biostatistical skills among researchers. The consortium focuses on developing research centers of excellence and nurturing a network of MSc, PhD, and postdoctoral researchers through training, mentorship, and funding. Emphasizing the use of open-access data from demographic and health surveillance sites, SSACAB contributes to advancing biostatistics and supporting research capacity in the region.
